Article: Karabus now suffering from extreme depression

Retired Cape Town doctor Cyril Karabus is "on edge" and said to be extremely depressed after another court delay in his United Arab Emirates (UAE) trial, the Cape Argus reported on Wednesday.

"We had been told by our lawyers that the prosecution wasn't keen on pursuing this. But then the judge ruled, out of the blue, that the medical translator was not present and so postponed the matter until April 23," lawyer Michael Bagraim said.

I'd never practice as a doctor in a country with such fscked up laws!

Every international doctor in this country should just walk out.

This entire thing is such a travesty. We send troops to CAR and DRC but we should be sending a team to the UAE to sort this out.

He actually was acquitted and the prosecutors are appealing the acquittal !!!

So what do you propose this team does after looking at our stellar performance in CAR or anywhere else for that matter. The government should have stepped in long ago but this is over their heads or they are to busy counting the money they are stealing from us.

Just to give you some perspective if anyone chooses to invade South Africa it will be done in less than a day .... and this includes UAE.

Lol, our army would not get past the border. We would be smacked back to SA in a few minutes, remember this is not the old SA army.

i actually thought he was acquitted as well? why didn't he leave when the acquittal came through? this is just one messed up situation. i thought he had already left the country at the time he was acquitted? this blows my mind.

LOL, you figure this out how? Also, big whoop, it may actually be a blessing, we might have a better government.
