Article: Malema wants apology

The ANC Youth League demanded a front-page apology from the Daily Sun on Thursday, after The Star apologised on its front page for misquoting its leader, Julius Malema.

The Star had now become a "lousy newspaper", while the Daily Sun -- which used the same story the following day -- "has never been a reputable newspaper", said spokesman Floyd Shivambu in a statement.
 
That's some serious egg on the star's face right there. It'll embolden these YL thugs a notch.
 
Oh this is rich, I really hope they don't give him that apology (yes, I know, he will get it anyways), until he apologizes for all the vile, racist, vitriolic crap that he spews forth almost on a daily basis.
 
Bad time for the newspapers to be pulling this kind of stupid stunt. :mad:
They just handed the ANC and the YL a whole bunch of ammo on a silver platter. :rolleyes:
I hope all of those responsible are fired.

At least he can't blame a white person for this. The reporter is of his own (so to speak)... and I figure that is why he's attacking the news paper at large instead of focusing on his "comrade" since if it was a white person who did this he would have demanded he be fired never mind an apology in the paper.

I won't be surprised if this reporter is allied with Cope and this was an attempt for the ANC to destroy itself... which kind of back-fired on them
 
I contend that the ANCYL complaint took the newspaper headline out of context. :p

Also, why does the ANCYL know about this? /me thinks someone in the ANCYL is secretly reading an imperialist newspaper publish by bloody agents
