Article: Mangaung interview canned

A MetroFM interview with three journalists on the ANC's upcoming elective conference in Mangaung was cancelled at the last minute, according to a report on Wednesday.

The Times newspaper reported that Sunday Times political editor S'thembiso Msomi, Business Day political editor Sam Mkokeli and Southern African bureau chief of the Financial Times, Andrew England, were already at the SABC studios when the interview was cancelled.

The SABC is an old apartheid dinosaur. It should be disbanded or privatised. What is really sad is how the ANC has turned that old dinosaur in their little lap dog.

yet the SABC keeps claiming they operate free of political interference...

yeah, right

Zuma looks really silly in that hat. Who'se he trying to look line, Al Capone?

I wonder what would have been said about the conference that the SABC thought we should not hear?

No one could possibly know, not even the guests because their comment would have depended on the questions asked. What the pro-Zuma person who called off the interview though knows is that those journalists aren't of the canned analyst variety and known not to pull punches in their criticism of the ANC in their newspaper column spaces.

The SABC says that the show was canceled because the ANC was not represented there and that would have made it unfair.
