Article: Marikana murder charges withdrawn

The murder charges brought against 270 Lonmin mineworkers were withdrawn and they will be released on a warning, the National Prosecuting Authority said on Sunday.

"The murder charge against the current 270 suspects... will be formally withdrawn provisionally in court on their next court appearance," advocate Nomgcobo Jiba, the national deputy director of public prosecutions.

Worse. This Jiba keeps stumbling from one political decision to another. First it is the ICT prosecutor, the ANC secretary in KZN and now as soon as her political masters question the murder charges she withdraws them. The charges were illogical to begin with but she looks more and more like the lapdog she is.
 
When they interview the wives of the locked up miners, the women say they are cash strapped etc etc and cannot wait for their men to come home, now if the miners refuse to return to work until they get their R12500.00 salary how do the wives expect to get money then if the husbands are not working?

What's your question?
 
So what now? Will they wait for the outcome of the inquiry before formally charging specific individuals, or is it too bad for the 10 people that died. Their murderers go free. Hopefully some of them were the ones lying dead in the dirt.
 
ANC, releasing more and more criminals every day.
