Article Mistake corrections

Here's a twist, this time it wasn't (that I've read ..so far at least) :cool: the article at fault, it was jes' *forum announcement* of same:

So who carries the can for that one: surely this isn't on the editing staff's shoulders ..'cos it sure as hell looks like jes earned this one all by his (..his?) bad self! :cool: (please allow leeway for the tone, I've just finished watching a western...)

Hi mcryan, thanks for spotting the mistake. This particular article came from the SAPA news feed. We usually presume that they have sub-edited the articles on their feed, but errors do occasionally slip in.
 
Two definite errors in The best of tech for 2010:
- the opener at "2010 is bound to be remembered as the year the term "wiki" -- specifically Wikileaks -- entered the mainstream." It's WikiLeaks.
- the closer at the end with "Suddenly smartphones aren't just for serious business people -- they're derigour among young professionals and students too." It's de rigueur.
 
Those devilish details get away from Staff Writer ..again! In Use of Skype tested in SA legal case old SW is likely to be very surprised to find at

contains the highlighted slip: in this technical an article, that's a travesty! Oh, and that should be 200MB/s.

In the very next paragraph at

we learn that forgo/forego is a tricky bitch, and he fluffed it.
