Article: No Vavi, No money

Sadtu in the Eastern Cape has threatened to withhold up to R2 million in membership subscriptions from Cosatu in protest against the suspension of head Zwelinzima Vavi, the City Press reported on Sunday.

"We are preparing to withdraw our subscriptions. Why should we continue paying when the leaders don't want to listen to us? This is our money," the SA Democratic Teachers' Union Kokstad region secretary Ntombozuko Maqhashalala told the newspaper.

Unrelated; tax has nothing in common with trade union subscriptions.

I think he was intentionally being idiotic.

One plus point is that it seems the 'people' or union members are starting to wake up to the fact that they actually have a say in who their leaders are or should be and no longer just accept any appointment because the powers that be placed such a person in such position.
