The proposed purchase of a new Boeing 777 jet for President Jacob Zuma will not go ahead, Defence Minister Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula said on Friday.

She told reporters in Pretoria the procurement process was cancelled after the offer to purchase lapsed on June 15.
 
Or are they delaying the inevitable.
Trust me Zuma wants those hot wings.
 
He'll probably get a 767 instead of the 777 (master plan all along) and then tell the people how much money he's saved them.
 
This is all Africa's current politicians care about ...

The priviledges (western suits, western cars, western cuisine, western liquor, western tecnology ...) of power ... without the responsibility that comes with it.

Service as public officials means nothing to them.

They just want to get to were the western man is ... as quickly as possible ... whether it is sustainable or not (thus far it is looking nowhere near sustainable).

Tbh I think a 787 would be perfect.. Not that I would condone it. I mean a fscking 777? Crazy.

They should get him a A300-600ST Beluga as it has a entrance big enough for his ego to fit trough and his entourages backsides.
