Article: Pick n Pay stocks running low

Retailer Pick n Pay warned on Thursday that it was running low on some goods at its stores due to the truck drivers' strike.

"The effect is most noticeable in fresh produce and poultry," operations director Neal Quirk said.

Done our shopping for the month.

It is only fruit, milk and veggies. Not going to stress.

Panic buying FTL.

If only the miners, truck drivers, teachers would march to kill the free radicals known as cANCer!

Yes, I have also noticed at our pick 'n pay - the fresh produce was very empty.

I did a delivery to a Builders express store yesterday. They were on a go slow. When I asked one of the staff as to why they taking so long to receive stock? His answer was that they are supporting their brothers and sisters. There were a number of suppliers waiting for their stock to be received but they just took their time.

Grocery shopping: if you look at all the people defined in the income group of lower middle class and below, we have 40% of them shopping at Shoprite, 12% at Spar and 11% at Pick 'n Pay and 4% at Checkers. The rest are spread amongst various other stores.

SPAR was doing late night runs last night. They were driving together. Shame. I hope these guys get paid beeeeeg time overtime and danger pay. And the suckers that is demanding/burning things gets nothing.
