Hours before Oscar Pistorius shot and killed Reeva Steenkamp, he had a nine minute phone conversation with his ex-girlfriend, Eyewitness News reported on Thursday.
According to the report, Pistorius's conversation with Jenna Edkins occurred hours before he shot Steenkamp at his Pretoria East home on February 14 last year.

I find it quite interesting that Many Weiner and Barry Bateman chose to release these details on the day of their book launch. If I recall correctly the book gives more details of this story too. Timing is fantastic to boost sales and bring into question the objectivity of EWN.
