Article: Pretoria Gautrain opens

It seems that the number one complaint on 702 this morning is the lack of bus feeder route coverage.
People need to use their cars to get from their homes to the stations or there is no bus from the station to their place of employment.
Municipal buses don't work as their routes terminate at a bus terminus in the CBD's and their operating hours are very limited.
Taxis are not an option either as they are far too unsafe. (The rolled taxi on the N1 this morning proves my point.)
Bicycle's and motorbikes are also not an option due to safety. (About half of the people I know who ride or used to ride motorbikes have been involved in at least one accident.)

Without decent bus feeder routes, the Gautrain is a waste of time for those living outside of walking distance of the stations.

does gautrain even cater to cyclists? are bikes allowed on the train? is there secure parking for bikes at stations?
