Article: Pretoria racers arrested

Two men were arrested after they were caught racing on the Mabopane freeway in Pretoria on Tuesday morning, Gauteng traffic police said.

Spokeswoman Busaphi Nxumalo the men, one in a Golf 6 GTI and the other in a Ford Focus ST, were driving at 170km/h in an 80km/h zone shortly before 10am.

If the GTi story is legit, I blame the Ford IT Dweeb driver.
Silly road that, 120km then 80km for 50m then 120 again, but 170 is errrrrm little fast unless you a Dr.
 
They should get Jail time !! Ridiculous to drive like that. How many innocent lives are lost daily due to idiots like this ? Just this weekend a father and 3 year old was killed because a idiot wanted to overtake 3 cars and smashed into them head on !

Agreed - they can kill themselves but it is always others that suffer due to idiots like this - Medical student my @ss, could you imagine him rushing through your heart surgery??

Revoke license for a year and R50K fine with 6mths community service - being digging graves for those killed on the road.
