Article: Pretoria Zoo black mamba found

The Pretoria Zoo's black mamba who went missing last month was found on Sunday.

"He was spotted slithering along the wall of the Reptile Park service area," said the zoo's spokesman Craig Allenby.
 
I feel like calling BS on this one...

Could be brilliant marketing or a bull**** plan to bring back visitors scared ****less... I am not saying it is... But I do feel like calling BS...
 
The story sounds perfectly plausible to me.

Is it just me or is there someone calling BS for every single story nowadays?
 
Wonder what and where he has been eating for the last month. A zoo full of cages, glass enclosures and a myriad of other predators does not seem the ideal environment for a black mamba to find food.

They do not need to eat much.
 
What I want to know is how they caught him.

There are many natural enclosures with long grass and rocks that I imagine would be crawling with rodents and such.

My one friend works at the zoo in JHB. Pretty sure they wont lie.
 
Glad its was found. But if they dont know how it escaped in the first place - who is to say it wont get out again?
