Article: R300,000 dagga arrest

A man was arrested in Soweto on Wednesday morning for possession of dagga with a street value of R300,000, Gauteng police said.

"Police this morning received information of a man who was allegedly transporting dagga to Soweto," Warrant Officer Kay Makhubela said.

This can never be an indoor bust electric,Im guessing more around R10/g so R4 mil give or take, still a chuck of cash for ****ty weed.

My thinking too - being transported like that around there (watch out for me sterotyping now) its gotta be some kark outdoor that's been growing on a dump site.

Which is normally around R1.50 for a couple g.

So that figure is not far off really.
R300 000 is probably good money for such ****.

Yeah I had also got to a figure of less than R10/g.. and thats usually the street cost for the worst of the worst type of weed.
 
Was the arrest then made for the guy transporting bad quality weed? If not I don't see the point of this making the news and arresting someone who is probably a peon. Time and resources could have been better spent trying to get the big bosses.

Std war on drugs BS.
Look at what we have prevented from getting on the streets, etc.
 
It's weed, that's like busting someone for a case of brutal fruit.

Edit: Except the brutal fruit might help a cancer patient or something.

Time an resources could be spent trying to solve real crimes,and put real criminals like rapists and murderers behind bars, and real drugs too , not a medicinal plant.
