This is the only solution. Asking nice and putting laws in place wont work. When the choice is a rhino or ones own life, then I believe the latter will be chosen.

The only way to stop the poaching is to remove the demand, and I have already stated the only way this can be done. Nothing else will work. If they're squeamish about a few Chinese keeling over then perhaps they could at least add some sort of industrial-strength skin-irritant to the horn. That should have a similar effect, thought probably not as effective as poison.

Otherwise we're simply have to make peace with the fact that eventually rhinos will only exist in zoos.

It is so so sad It's heartbreaking to see pictures and read about this!! It seems that these people will stop at nothing to make money. Not sure what can be done to save them. Maybe built very high electric fences and try keep them safe in the enclosures.
