Article: SA women are fat

In a world where 37 percent of the adult population is overweight or obese, in 2013 South Africa had an obesity rate of 42 percent for women and 13.5 percent for men, according to a study released by the Lancet.

"South Africa has the highest overweight and obesity rate in sub-Saharan Africa," the study showed.

I read a while ago that there are 900 million malnourished people in the world, but 1.8 BILLION obese people.
I don't know where they got that statistic, but there is something seriously wrong with the world if that is true.

Indeed there is.

The problem lies with the culture and governments of the malnourished. For the most part, they cling to cultural, economic and political models that cannot produce prosperity. For the most part this is not the fault of the developed/rich/fat world.
