Article: Sequestration order can sink Malema

EFF leader Julius Malema's ambitions to serve in Parliament will be dashed should a provisional sequestration order against him become final, his lawyer said on Monday.

"If it becomes final, it will affect him in Parliament. He will not be allowed to be an MP," Tumi Mokoena said.

My heart bleeds lumpy custard for this fraudulent, thieving, hatemongerer...

Malema is like a garden weed ... we will never be rid of him.

He'll stick around, and be blessed with the same longevity as his Idol, Mugabe. He will be the bane of our existence ... forever and ever ... Amen.

It's provisional unfortunately. The decision on whether to make it final is scheduled for end may...... after elections.

Do I understand this correctly?

The Court is satisfied that SARS has a strong case hence they provisionally sequestrated Malema. Any party (including Malema) has until 10am on May 26 to challenge it.

Thereafter, if Malema is successfully sequestrated, the master of the high court will appoint a trustee who will manage his debts for a period of about five years.

It also means Malema won't be allowed to make any debt for that period or be allowed to be a director of a company or become a MP if he is elected.

At least it gives them chance to take votes away from the ANC!

Most importantly a person cannot be an MP if they are an unrehabilitated insolvent. To the best of my knowledge even provisional sequestration causes all sorts of problem on capacity to act which should be a hitch for heading up a voluntary association.

Nothing of this trivial nature has ever stopped the expectant inheritants of the great wealth of Africa.

They will weasel their why out of these petty allegations. Because that's what they are ... weasels.

Most of the MP's in parliament should not be allowed to be MP's. Some with way more serious reasons than Malema.
