Article: Snakes at Post Office cause mayhem

Four live snakes have slithered out of a package at the Sabie post office, in Mpumalanga, it was reported on Wednesday.

Postal workers could not leave the sorting room fast enough when the reptiles made their appearance on Monday from a package posted on the East Rand, Beeld reported.
 
Africans. Snakes. A lethal combination. Our African gardener is terrified of chameleons as well. We have a plastic snake on the lawn to keep off the hardidas and have to put it away before he comes
 
I wonder what type of snakes it was? Imagine posting something like a Puffie or the like... :wtf:
 
lol! after the last month and my struggle with the post office I think the mail hub needs a crate full of snakes.
 
Shame the PO, has taken a lot of *** lately, I saw everyone complaining about the trucking strike.... Then the systems got upgraded, people complained that theyre to slow.... My service as of late has been pretty good, I've recieved about 50 parcels over the last two months, some delayed with the trucking strike but nothing they can do about it!

It wasn't only the trucking strike. It was after the trucking strike.

What Upgrade? the one that doesn't work?
Then they they went to parli and asked their buddies for more tax money because the billion rand upgrade was a fuk up.

lol, friend of mine just pointed out the good side of this. At least that department will stop digging in peoples mail.
 
Would love to see a cctv capture of the chaos that erupted when the snakes emerged.
Actually why did they escape in the sorting room?
Could it be that the workers were "inspecting" the contents of the package?
 
I really hope that one of the workers had the composure to say "Enough is enough! I have had it with these maafuking snakes in this maafuking post-office!" :mad:

Workers opening parcels to steal. Somebody had enough and sent snakes. ROFL. Give the sender more snakes and a Bells.
 
Yip opening parcels I bet, that'll teach them to stop stealing and to treat the packages more carefully.

Wish I had cctv footage (I wouldn't have liked to be there myself)
