Three motorcyclists and five motorists were arrested for allegedly speeding on the N1-south highway near the Maraisburg off-ramp on Sunday, Johannesburg Metro police said.

The three motor cyclists had no rear registration number plates to avoid being captured by cameras, said Chief Superintendent Wayne Minnaar.

I would struggle to achieve illegal speeds in my 1997 Toyota Corolla.

As a matter of fact I would make an accident at sub-20km/h speeds long before I would at any higher speeds.

My only 2 previous accidents were with a knee-high parking pole (which ****ed my left front AND back door) and a sapling tree (which totally ****ed-up my front-right fender panel as I reversed).

Fortunately my 2 above mentioned accidents were survived in my old 1993 Nissan Sentra 140GL (I loved that car more than I do my current one).

I miss that old white Nissan.

My brother inherited that car and he totally ****ed it up before buying himself a fancy bakkie.

After work it takes me about 3 minutes to get home.

In the mornings we have rush hour then it takes me about 5 minutes to get to work.
