Article: The Times apologize to Malema

The Times newspaper printed a front-page apology to expelled ANC Youth League president Julius Malema on Thursday, abiding by a ruling by the Press Ombudsman against an article published in October.

The story, headlined, "Malema on the ropes", on October 31, reported that a police probe into Malema's financial affairs was "as good as complete".

The Times is racking up a pretty good record for shooting their mouths off.
Think I might have to delete their bookmark and just rely on IOL, M&G and EWN for my local news.

Whatever happened to this, where did he get all that money from?
Are they still investigating?

Ever seen Garfield on a Monday?

Yeah, that's how I feel about this...

EWN is the safest bet... albeit the most boring :(

I like TimesLive

EWN? Sensational tabloid behavior there. Biased too.

Typical. The biast white controlled South African media is a thorn in the side of this country with it's out of context alarmism and fearmongering.

Although I do acknowledge reporting on corruption etc is vital to a healthy democracy the defeatist tone leaves a lot to be desired.

You've got it the wrong way around.

The thorn in the side of this country is the corruption not the white people.

I'm sure some research into the matter would demonstrate to you that the two are in no ways mutually exclusive. In fact I know many white people lining up for their share of tenders for kick backs.
