Article: The world should consider 'de-Americanising': China

While US politicians grapple with how to reopen their shuttered government and avoid a potentially disastrous default on their debt, the world should consider 'de-Americanising', a commentary on China's official news agency said Sunday.

"As US politicians of both political parties (fail to find a) viable deal to bring normality to the body politic they brag about, it is perhaps a good time for the befuddled world to start considering building a de-Americanised world," the commentary on state news agency Xinhua said.
 
Does this mean no more McDonalds and Burger King in those countries?

No, more like not selling everything to the Chinese. It would be pretty hard to not use any Chinese product these days since almost everything is a Chinese product.
 
Could someone please define the concept of an "Americanized" world. Also please explain how you would "de-Americanize" the world.

No, we IMPORT goods from them. And that's the problem. Much like your problem with English.

We sell our land, mines, resources and companies to them, they manufacture and sell goods back to us. It's like they own half the country already. And that's why this article is ironic, China is the big imperialist on the block now, not the US.

you are contradicting yourself. if you don't have ENGLISH problem then you must have comprehension problem / problem of logic understanding.

I don't understand why China is the bigger imperialist. China or US, who invaded other country before? you don't have any logic. if you say Chinese goods are so bad, why you buy them? Ask all of those big international companies don't invest in china, don't place any orders then problem solved. on one hand you want to enjoy the cheap labour of China but on the other hand you don't want them to earn any money? this kind of mindset is that not imperialist? I know you hate chinese, but it should be reasonable, not pure hatred. :)

America is descending as a world power and china is ascending. America exports its culture all over the world and many countries are very Americanized. In 100 years America will probably look more like England or Spain does now and China will be exporting its culture all over the world. Its how things work.
