Article: Tshwane power blackouts continue

Parts of the Tshwane CBD continued to experience power blackouts on Wednesday due to cable theft.

The cables were stolen on Tuesday afternoon, City spokesman Console Tleane said.
 
They always say its cable theft.. the most worn-out excuse in the book.

Where I live in Roodepoort we've been plauged with power outages since Christmas... its gone off so frequently I've had to replace appliances damaged by the incessant power cuts.
I have heard:
The cable blew up
The cable was stolen
The cable is wet
We don't know why, it just keeps tripping
Hau, eish I dunno abaut thees kaaible stuffs, eish too maauch for me brein...
Christiaan de Wet keeps blowing up
Its a trip due to the weather

Nobody can give us a real, honest answer.... they just lie because they are so utterly incompetent!
 
Hurr durrrr.. Tshwane is a Metro municipality which includes several towns and cities, each with their own CBD so which one is he talking about?

I've heard this dumbass on the radio before, I'm so glad his name is Console because I would have been livid if it was PC.

How do you steal an electrical cable without getting killed?
 
Stealing a cable 101...

Chop it with an axe, so that it blows the circuit breaker.
Then cut off the two ends of the now dead cable
Remove it by towing it with a vehicle...
