Article: UJ students strike again

Students at the University of Johannesburg would hold another protest outside of the campus on Friday morning, Students for Justice said.

"Our protest on Friday at 8am is meant to address various issues, including the lack of transparency in the allocation of NSFAS (National Student Financial Aid Scheme) funds by the university," said spokesman Enerst Hasha.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if I'm not mistaken, the allocation of the NSFAS funds has absolutely nothing to do with the university and everything to do with mismanagement of the education budget, not true?

Strike this, strike that bla bla bla seems to me like the whole freaken country is on strike while I'm working 8-5 every damn day.

Just fuscken live with it. Bloody hell!

If my children or workers were wasting my money like this, I would kick their butts.

They at varsity to learn, not strike - lazy dip****s. No wonder the country is going to the dogs!

These emancipated knuckleheads are too lazy to learn. Rather strike and cause chaos!

Striking doesn't "address" the issue.

It just expresses displeasure.

Addressing the issue is done by...uh...addressing it.

What is the point of STUDENTS striking, who are you holding ransom ? YOU are paying for the varsity's services. So in actual fact you are wasting YOUR money or parents money.

Well done, well *****ing done

There is a simple solution to this in my opinion..

It involves Caspirs, Riot police and rubber bullets... The students need to know that their behaviour won't be tolerated (these strikes normally end up with destruction of property)... and that the students who WANT to study are able to get into varisty and study...

They can't register, because NSFAS has screwed up the fees allocations.

So they should strike, it is all they can do, they cannot study.

Most of these students do want to study, that is why they are striking.

That's how I have it as well. They shouldn't prevent other students from studying though and the universities aren't to blame either. They should go create crap at the department of education's offices.
