thats a bit unfair, whilst i agree some are not trying very hard, there are those that honestly do want to get work.
But they either lack experience, skills, qualifications or have criminal records.

Whatever happened to the meeleons of jobs that Zuma-duma promised? Guess it was just empty promises again.

we need a new labour intensive sector in this country fast, the problem is though that the population increases exponentially and work cannot be created at the same rate.

This country is heading for serious problems in the coming years and we all know who will end up losing everything to "grabs", like Zim.

The question is - when will we hear the dreaded words "GO FORTH AND TAKE WHAT IS YOURS MY PEOPLE"

They are just taking back what the Colonialists took from them in the first place right?

Would only be fair for the imperial Colonialists to take back the education, civilisation, written language, infrastructure they brought with them, but I'm sure they will tear that down on their own just like the rest of the african countries, and live off foriegn aid :D

Bright future ahead INDEED!
but hey, I'm naive, what do i know, right?

It's scares me to think of the what's going to happen when the Matric results are released?

We'll have more unemployable youths sitting waiting for a "colonialist" to give them a job, I see this every day , countless men on the pavement start screaming, shouting and waiving their hands in the air when they see a "whitey" BUT when one of their own drives past they don't raise a finger????

it's a perception thing, most whiteys can't speak their language, don't come from their background and feel sorry for them in the first place. my friend(black) and i once had a white beggar come to our car window, with my friend telling him to fck off and get a job because he's lazy. i've had other encounters where my white friend in the car has had a black beggar come up to the car window to beg and he replied "ask Zuma." :p

that is the biggest job grabber, it doesn't matter how much you know or how hard you're willing to work, you've had to have had previous employment and experience. if every business had to ask for 2-3 years experience, there would be no opportunities for anyone new in the market

Agreed, have you noticed though, that almost every job asks for 2-3 years experience...
In IT its even worse..

I know with our company (Accounting Firm) it's preffered request that they get someone with experience, makes sense - who would advertise a job "no experience required".
If it where my company I would vote for experience, which can be hard to gain if you can't get your foot through the door.

Mentioning BEE - the guys and girls that work for us "struggle" a lot more that their white, indian, coloured counterparts - it's mainly the language barrier and general office conduct but everyone is more than welcome and patient to accomdate and assist them.

And the guys and girls appreciate it greatly, in fact it changes their perspective of other races completly sometimes as the one chap mentioned in his "leaving" speech.

I quote: Coming from the rural Transkei, I had never seen so many white people in my life and was initially afraid of not fitting in, this changed very quickly as I became part of the office family and realised it was not all as bad as I made it out to be.
The guy carried on for like 5min.........:-) before we made him down his drink mix concoction.
