Not sure why there is so much fanfair about this story. It's really just the unions getting hot & bothered and shooting their mouths (which they usually do) followed by the DA coming in with a quick jab at government (which they usually do) and ofcourse no thread like this would be complete without certain people on this forum feeling unjustly victimised (as they usually do).

It's a problem too when a sadtu official claims to have been responsible for the removal of 3 education MEC because they're so powerful. The racist part is the mark of a coward & the least of our problem. It is the impunity with which sadtu carries on destroying the education system that we ought to worry about. The MEC clearly has a higher EQ seeing as she ignored the juvenile nonsense and focused on the issue of sadtu holding meetings during school hours.

Yes. That is a worry. But what do we concentrate on? Not the unionist's feelings of impunity, not his wide-ranging powers - no, what really excites us is that we've finally found a black guy saying nasty things about white people. Meaning: Black people are now guilty of hypocrisy of the worst degree, therefore us white people will never have to listen to accusations of casual racism ever again.

Yip, I think you're right about that.
Right-wing doesn't necessarily mean racist (in the same way as left-wing doesn't necessarily mean non-racist). Many of the DA's policies are conservative in nature.
