Article: What have we learned from SARS?

"The experience from the first SARS outbreak is helping us now," virologist John Oxford from the Queen Mary University of London told AFP as the world is dealing with another coronavirus like the one that caused SARS and has killed eight people since it was first detected mid-2012.

The most important lessons cited by experts include information sharing, rapidly raising the global alert, and finding and containing the outbreak source.

What we have learnt from SARS? They take your money and you never see any benefit. And they pulled the biggest con on everyone for years. Instead of increasing income tax, all they do is raise the cost of three things likely to affect taxpayers: booze, petrol and cigarettes
