Article: White House locked down

The White House was locked down in a sudden security alert Monday after a man set off firecrackers outside the gates, hours after a gun massacre at a US naval base in Washington.

A Secret Service source confirmed to AFP that the man set off firecrackers, following some earlier reports that shots were fired, in a incident that scrambled security teams at the White House.
 
The guy that set off firecrackers is not very clever. After what happened earlier he could very well have have been shot.

Yeah I don't understand what's wrong with these people. Had something happened to him, he would probably have cried vicitim.
 
Er, the entire USA doesn't seem to be very clever. Have you guys seen the twitter feeds of some of these douche-nozzles calling the Miss America pageant winner an Arab and a terrorist? When she's of Indian decent, an American and have no affiliation with any terrorist organization?

So I kind of expected some "not very clever" actions from some of their citizens hey...
 
Man arrested for throwing firecrackers at White House

One man picked a bad day to throw firecrackers at the White House.

The Secret Service arrested a man who did just that Monday, just hours after the mass shooting at the nearby Washington Naval Yard.

Officials identified the man only as Alexander Sahagian; he is believed to age 52.

The firecrackers, which to some sounded like gunshots, triggered a lockdown of the White House complex.

Secret Service spokesman George Ogilvie said the suspect was transported to a nearby police station and will likely be charged with illegally throwing a projectile.
