Article: World's oldest dog dies

A country used to celebrating the lives of the world's oldest people was this week marking the passing of another notable centenarian, when the planet's oldest dog died in Japan.

Pusuke, a male cross breed, breathed his last on Monday afternoon, at the ripe old age of 26 years and nine months, making him the equivalent of more than 120 in human years, reports said.

I thought it was a bitch. Do bitches normally live longer like female humans?

Sad News...
Anyway do we know who the oldest dog in the world now is? and how do they determine it without a birth certificate?

My poodle died last year at an age of 19.

It ate what I ate, drank what I drank and was a heavy secondary smoker, lol. Even at 19 years of age, it gave other dogs a run for it's money. It died of an heart attack because it was too active for it's age. She was a vicious little thing.

Ho I miss thee.

:( R.I.P

R.I.P and sorry for your loss, it seems your dog was quite a fighter and left this world doing what it loved best :)

I don't even want to think about my buddy dying, he is getting up there in age though :(

The world's oldest dog? I know a guy I grew up with who's dog died at 21. It was blind as a bat though

I doubt that 26 is the oldest, maybe the oldest known to the media yes

My foxterrier was 16 and a half when I had him put down. Within one week he went from fine to completely lame in his hind-quarters. If that didn't happen I'm sure he would have lived well past 20.
