Article: Your tax to increase

It will probably go up again next year, since the ANC cannot or will not decrease spending.
Can't wait to get out of here.

I can see a lot more Domestic and Gardeners are going to be let go.

This is just the start.

Currently, I can still employ mine once a week.. but the line is getting very close to being reached.

Below the R180k will pay less, here you go with tax decrease.

They forget that they are killing them with the 80,5c/litre increase in fuel plus the knock-on effect the fuel increase will have on food prices, etc.

But obviously the ignorant will not realize it.

I doubt there will be a huge impact but time will tell. For the higher earners (of which I'm privileged to be), I suspect they make our life easier and there are many extravagant costs we can cut.

I have neither. That electricity bill is going to hit hard.

So if your current bill is r1000 you will end up paying r1800 from the end of next month. And that excludes the municipality's extra add on.

Its fine they will just be put on grants and do nothing all day while you and I... still pay for it all

Will just have to "cut" on taxes then I guess.

Actually if anything both my maid and gardener will probably take a salary cut to stay working, not that I will be happy doing that personally... They are both trying very hard to pay for their kids to study and better themselves.

If the E-tolls taught us one good lesson, it's only when the people stand ground and say no more will the ANC start thinking...

(Yes we haven't won the e-toll war but we winning battle at a time... the people will take away COJ from them in 2016...)

oke. I hear you. I am probably got the Wong information

Would you explain to me, if my bill is R1000 for electisity only what will my bill be after this:
A temporary increase in the electricity levy, from 3.5c/kWh to 5.5c/kWh, to assist in demand management. This additional 2c/kWh will be withdrawn when the electricity shortage is over.

Thanks in advance.

Making the assumption that your bill at R1000 for electricity is billed to you at R1.20 per Kwh... That means you use roughly 833 Kwh per month. So with this increase (assuming municipalities don't take on an extra little bit for themselves), your bill will go to about R1020 per month.

Nene can't work with money. Bleeding people dry to fuel (diesel) Eskom and repay SANRAL debt (that should not have been made). FU

I actually have a lot of doubts about the taxes being enough & I suspect agencies may conclude the same. Sucks to be ANC right now as they basically need to increase VAT next year if it goes the way I'm thinking.. and that's just before elections.. eTolls remaining.. Gauteng will be lost

If the DA wins gauteng because of additional taxes, they will be well worth it. However, due to elections next year I see the ANC increasing income tax again, and possibly introducing another tax level for the 'super wealth'. Definitely they will have to increase tax next year to fund the ridiculous public sector wage increases from this year.
