Article: Zimbabwe crayfish problem

Exactly, I mean as the poster below pointed out, unemployment / hunger tick tick!
Even export and make more moola unless this particular species is not good for eating for some reason but I doubt that. If the Zimbo's don't wont to scoff it, someone else will for sure. I'll take a bucket :D

Just did a google search on 'Red Claw fresh water crayfish recipes', plenty!!!!

Ya man! This is Africa...if there is a monetary value attached to this little beastie then the species will be decimated in no time. And in this case I'll gladly contribute.

I actualy know a guys that breeds and sells the australian blue crayfish here is s.a , it amazing how popular they are with collectors and its illegal to keep them exactly for the reason that they would destroy our eco system should they get out into the wild, there are no natural predators for them so they immediately jump straight to the top of the food chain.

Plenty of species on the banned import list but you still see them in the aquarium trade, I doubt much enforcing is going.

We have a spiny blue lobster in SA that is quite pretty with all it's blue & white bands.
