I didn't say his rivals were any different or even the same, I said "out bought", meaning his offers of power (money, cars, promises etc) were a better offer than his rivals - if anything, his rivals are the same, but just have less to offer.

Educated man vs Uneducated man. They only need to convince NEC (because who ever the NEC chooses will be president becuase the party win is guaranteed.)
Educated man : We all understand building a well educated youth is top priority, vote for me and I will fund schools with R10 Billion for the next 4 years!
Uneducated man : I will split that R10 billion will anyone that votes for me!

Well not quite. The president of the ANC is elected before the NEC so it's impossible for a presidential candidate to bribe an NEC that does not exist as yet.

If you failed matric exactly what hope is left for you? What good does it do to comfort these kids? They've got a lifetime of impoverished servitude ahead of them.
It suits Zuma and the ANC to have a largely uneducated population. Moeletsi Mbeki was right, the ANC want to keep having a lot of poor people so that they can keep getting votes. Most black people that have escaped poverty and are now in the middle class support the DA. The ANC knows this which is why figting corruption and education will never be the ANC's number one and two priorities. Zuma comforting the matric students is all an act, if he really cares about those students then he will fire the useless Angie.

The whole educational system is a joke. He is just trying to get points by trying to comfort them. He doesn't give a hoot about the results. Is he did he would have axed ministers a long time ago.

What is wrong in comforting someone who failed exams? Failing matric is not the end of the world. It does not stop the kids from trying again.
