Article: Zuma has "laager mentality": Holomisa

President Jacob Zuma displays a "laager mentality" by appointing Cabinet members mainly from his home province of KwaZulu-Natal, according to UDM leader Bantu Holomisa, The Star reported on Tuesday.

"Zuma's appointment of the Cabinet from his own province has given an impression the IQ levels of people from other regions are low," the United Democratic Movement leader was quoted as saying.

I don't think it's laager mentality, I think it's just tribal chief surrounding himself with supporters.
 
Keep your friends close, your cadres closer and your co-accused closest.

He is building his own destiny which will crumble due to his corruption and cadres.
 
This is the '101' to staying in power, winning elections, getting away with corruption and theft, getting laws passed and scraped, making changes to constitutions and probably stay in power for a long, long time to come.
