Article: Zuma misled South Africans: Maimane

President Jacob Zuma has "misled" South Africans about the R246 million spent on his Nkandla homestead, Democratic Alliance parliamentary leader Mmusi Maimane said on Monday.

"Last night [Sunday], during an SABC interview, President Jacob Zuma misled the nation by declaring that he had done 'absolutely nothing wrong', relating to the R246m of taxpayers' money spent at his private Nkandla residence," he said in a statement.

LOL Zuma believes as the big chief he can do what he wants. If you have a problem with it you are either racist or a coconut.

So Zuma does not believe that the president did anything wrong.

How about we ask the president for his personal opinion?

Tax boycott? Then big bad SARS comes after you with fines and threats and you end up screwed.

Not if everyone stands together, this is the biggest problem in SA, everyone bitches but nobody does anything, E-Tolls have given us an indication of what can be achieved if we have a united front

we can get the majority of South Africans voting for one party...oh wait

Yet there is a compliance of 30%

For a tax boycott to work you need the major companies to join and stop paying PAYE

Since Zuma came into power so much looting has happened, its really sad :(

Fact remains that tax payer money was used on someone who doesn't need the money :(

I feel like politics in SA will still be harping on Nkandla 5 years later :( Are there not other issues to address?

The real problem is that Zuma has set the bar for corruption pretty high which means the next anc puppet can either keep it there or try for more. The real question is how low will sa have to sink before someone says enough is enough.

But it has calmed down. It seems that sanral are happy to fear monger and keep a hold of those who are tagged but have been rather quiet on the non payer front. Unless they're awaiting a legislation change, all they can really do now is sit and twiddle their thumbs.
