Article: Zuma not nervous about EFF

President Jacob Zuma said he was not nervous about the EFF's threat to disrupt his state-of-the-nation address this week, The Star reported on Monday.

"Parliament acts according to a set of rules. I have never been nervous in my life," he was quoted as saying in Pretoria on Sunday.

That set of rules thing is the same as what Baleka Mbete said on carte blanch last night.

She also said a constitution is a guideline and that they can apply their minds but never mind that.

The way i understood her is that the constitution was drawn up by people and it is flawed so they need to apply their minds. I was like wtf is this woman seriously saying that?.

Just wait until he's no longer president. He will no longer have the influence to protect himself from persecution. And it will be relentless. I'd be very nervous if I were him.

Yeah it was something more like your version but whatever it was it means they dont care what it says because they dont take it as a legal requirement.

The problem is what lengths he is willing to go to prevent that?.

+1

If he gets backed into a corner where his only option is a dictatorship we are in for a bad time.

Agreed- but the thing is - all his stuff seems to be half baked. Look at ANN and the Guptas, the battle of Bangui. His own people seem to be running their own agendas.
It would take a nationwide blackout granting him emergency powers to do that.

He has his mushini ready for any EFF flies i'm sure
