Dont' forget to dial 10210 and ask Teklom for a refund when then your service is down or interrupted or mangled or temporarily ignored or whatever.

All you need is the reference number of the reported fault.

As soon as the problem is solved, call teklom on 10210, tell them you want a refund, they'll confirm who you are and want to know from when till when you want the refund, and then ask for the fault reference number.

VIOLA.

They're actually damn quick at handling this type of call.
 
Ok, how much do they refund you for?

They refund you for the days the service wasn't working.
i.e. If your line is broken for half the month they'll refund you 50% of the rental(s).

My last Telkom bill was R160 which includes the line rental, 384 kbps ADSL rental and calls. My line was down for more than two weeks.
 
Anything more then R50.00 will be worth it, I guess....problem is...how long will they take to refund? Do you get the credit in the next statement?
 
The next statement will contain the refund as a refund.
You cannot claim back form telkom internet for a line being down (cos they're separate companies .. LMAO), but now with the DO package, you can claim back both, cos that is a definate one-company deal.
 
Seeing as how they log the call, update it, and close it, the least this bunch could do it make the refund automagic.

I was hoping Santa could head it up, the tooth fairy can be in charge of media reports, and an honest and intelligent ANC politician could lead the debates in parliament.
