Not sure it it belongs here or on the Health section.

I was just reading on Adrian Lamo, Gary McKinnon, Kevin Mitnick, Kevin poulsen, etc and they seem to suffer from this condition. I find them very interesting individuals.

I think I can nominate some people here that might be suffering from this. Don't mean it in a bad way.

Here is some help for your problem, no need to be shy about it.

While there is no specific treatment or 'cure' for Asperger's Syndrome, there are many interventions that can significantly improve the functioning and quality of life of people and children with Asperger's. It is important to properly classify the condition and remember that it is not Asperger's disease, but rather a syndrome.

Natural Remedies for Asperger’s Syndrome

Herbal and homeopathic remedies can be viable alternatives to synthetic drugs and may be just as effective, with far fewer risks and side effects.

It is important that you only use natural remedies from a reliable source, as the quality of herbs used as well as methods of preparation may affect the strength and effectiveness of the remedy.

Depending on the symptoms that need treatment, certain herbal and homeopathic ingredients may be recommended as part of a holistic treatment plan, such as:

St. John’s Wort, which has been used in traditional medicine for centuries and research has confirmed the positive effects of this herb on mental and emotional health.
Melissa officinalis has been studied for its beneficial effect on the nervous system, and is well-known for its soothing and calming properties.
Cina (6C) is used homeopathically to relieve irritability, increase tolerance and prevent temper tantrums. Regular use of Cina is also thought to make children less stubborn and more affectionate..
Passiflora is known for its soothing properties as a general nerve tonic to help naturally maintain a positive demeanor, balance emotions, settle the nerves and ease minor worries, as confirmed by clinical research.
Chamomila (6C) is used homeopathically for children who are irritable and difficult to please, as well as for those with a low pain threshold. It is also well–known for its soothing effect on infant colic, symptoms of teething babies and its ability to promote sleepiness naturally.
Natural remedies may often contain a combination of ingredients for best effect. A holistic treatment plan aims to address the underlying cause of the problem and does not just treat the symptoms in isolation. In this way, it provides an all-around approach to greater well-being.

Not much to tell, except I display quite a few of the symptoms/issues.
I spot patterns everywhere. To the extent that my work phone number was bugging me last year... until I realised that it was the same as the phone number I had in the UK in 1999-2004, but with the 2s and 4s transposed.
I battle to identify with people, I'm considered antisocial, difficult to get along with. Sometimes I just don't want company. I can fake it for a while but then I get frustrated and push people away.
When I get stressed or distressed I do the repetitive motion thing too.

I'm diagnosed as ADHD-PI and Aspergers. All these "disorders" are part of the Autism spectrum so there's no real hard rule on where one ends and another begins.

Sadly all superpowers must come with weaknesses and I like most Aspies I suffer from an utter lack of social skills and tact. Or maybe others suffer from it I'm yet to decide :-).

I don't think we're unemotional as such - we are just ruled by our overpowered intellect more completely than most. Generally in Autism one finds high IQ and low EQ. Some say we suppress our emotions because we don't understand it at all and I'm inclined to agree with that.

I'm married with kids so I guess I cope with my "uniqueness" pretty well. It helps to have an understanding wife that know's that sometimes I just want to be alone. I enjoy social events just not all the time - any kind of human interaction tires me out.

Sometimes my lack of people skills bother me (def more when I was younger) but I refuse to see it as a disorder. The world need people who think differently and are not affected by social norms as much to think up new stuff.

Wikipedia article on its pretty good: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asperger_Syndrome

I'm surprised nobody has brought up South Park's "Ass Burgers" yet.

Oh well, there. I did it. :p
