Hi guys,

I'm looking for some software to track IT assets. Pref open source.

Need to track approx 100 users, 500 machines.

I need to track movement of stock, mark stock as dispatched and mark location stock is sitting in etc.

Any ideas?
Thanks
J

Hi,

Are you looking for a system to track what equipment is assigned to a user and where the spares are, or is this more rental/sales stock tracking? Something like http://www.glpi-project.org/?lang=en, would work for the first one quite well. For the other, I've got no experience in that area unfortunately.

The goal of this project is to give to System administrators, and any person that has to manage asset inventory, a complete tool to discover, catalogue, update their list of software and hardware Asset.

The software has many point in common with OCSInventory and one of the goals that the developers have it’s to stay compatible with OCSinventory server, so you could already have your OCSinventory server up and running, and now start to deploy fusioninventory agent that send the gathered information to it.
