Hi guys

So, with Telkom adsl being off in my area since 2nd October and no end in sight as to when the copper cables will be replaced, I've been forced to look at other options ( there is no fibre in my area...)
I saw the 170gb for R799 with Webafrica, that's about as good as I'm gonna get, but the coverage map shows as patchy in Brackenhurst. I was advised that they use Rain as an SP, is there no way i can Rica a Rain sim card and test first, before i commit to them?

Webafrica offered a refund when I spoke to them regarding coverage issues if you are "covered" on the map

Otherwise bribe a RAIN user to bring theirs and come check how many bars you get

Hi Bud. Try Axxess aswell. Check www.rain.co.za for coverage and i noticed that if you are close to the dark blue lines on the grid then you can expect good speeds and reliability of about 40-50mbps. Hope this helps in your decision. The coverage map is quite accurate and if you are covered then take the plunge, i did and wont look back.

setup is total R3760.86 incl vat. Then there's your first month's fee for whichever package you choose
So it's 3760 divided by 2 then.

WA, AH and a few others now offer SIM only contracts but the sims wont work in phones and mifi devices, only in a few routers listed by RAIN. They say they will keep updating the approved router list as they finish testing devices.
