Well, hi there.
Just to give a bit of a back story - I took out a contract with Vodacom to get a Samsung Galaxy S from them - basically a business contract, and I would use my already sufficient MTN SIM in the phone.

I have used the sim maybe 1 or 2 times for some data, but not again since Feb this year.
The amounts thus far have only been the subscription of R185 and maybe a few rands for data.

So, now I get a SMS from my bank saying that R565.17 has been taking from my account for payment of my account.
I've checked the online utility on vodacom4me, and it seems they have "recycled" my number - and someone else is adding services to my account.

Please help :erm:

Would Vodacom recycle a number that is still in contract?

Are you sure nobody else could have had physical access to the SIM?

No, if it is on contract, a number will not be recycled unless the client prematurely cancelled the number and it was deleted and chucked into the recycling pool.
