3 million is the *BEST* case scenario.

. The lockdown is the reason print media is dying in 2020Anyway COVID-19 has definitely affected everyone so if you are going to close down a failing business, this is probably the best time to do it, under cover of Covid-19. Less red tape.
Minimal public outcry and political games. How is there less red tape closing down a business now as opposed to 6 months ago?
Nothing much has changed in terms processes. The difference is that eveey media house is focusing on Covid-19 and government's response.COVID-19 was the final nail in the coffin of a struggling business.
In 2018 when Associated Media Publishing closed Marie Claire they emphasized that they were concentrating on digital distribution rather than print. To claim that COVID-19 has affected their distribution channels (print) is disingenuous.

Well In theory that applies to more than just business . Next few months will prove thisLet the weak die, and let the strong rise after the epidemic. Yes, it is painful short term, but we will be stronger in the long run.

They have spent millions to keep a weak company like Edcon alive. That capital is now waste, capital which could have been use to create a new innovative company and created many new jobs.Say that to the people who are losing their jobs.
