Asterisk, MySQL, CLI, PHP and Soft Phone

Using Asterisk and a soft phone with a crm coded with php and mysql, does anyone have any experience retrieving a record in a crm from a CLI received by asterisk and querying a mysql db held on another server with that CLI?

it shouldn't be any more complicated than another query, you're retrieving cutomer details based on their telephone number... instead of another field.

Is your question how to request the CLI from Asterix?
