Stupid question, I even know the answer but here goes:

Can u download via astraweb with a 30gb local only account????
 
start with your international (near the end of your cap) ... keep it going for as long as possible and don't disconnect. ;) Works better with IS bandwidth.

Astraweb on full international allow for 20 simultaneous connections, you should be able to keep all those connections as long as you can maintain the connection. Is that what you are asking?

ja, I think you might be able to do that... but you would have to limit each person logging in to ten connections each then for a total of 20.

But, you might start getting all kinds of weird connection errors. Dude, for $11 surely you could afford two accounts?

hmmm, is this from one IP address (two computers at your house) or from two IP addresses (your neighbour and you)?

I can test it at home tonight on two computers.
 
You will not be able to use 2 computers, these services log you ip, so all 20 connections are linked to that ip.

So maybe 2 computers using the same connection but i doubt there is any chance of 2 people using their own lines being able to download with let's say 10 connections.
 
split the astraweb account and use it one at a time. i.e. u buy ur 30gb, use it up in 15 days or less and then u give the remaining 15 days to ur mate to use his 30gb. just a thought :)
 
Will try, got me a prepaid 25gb account for R80. And its excellent. Gonna try tonight I see they have 2 servers so gonna tell my mate to connect to the eu server while i am on the us server. The account has 50 connections whereas I only use 20. But what a sight gotta love a straight line going at 425kbps.
 
whats astraweb? like a news server?


Edit - Ok so its a news server.... but no http search? Why not go easynews? I been with them for a couple of years now .. I get 30 gigs a month, plus an extra 14 "loyalty" gigs for free :)
And they rollover. Got about 280 gigs "in the bank" so to speak...
