ASUS Eee Pad transformer

Eish, selective reading on my part, didn't see you actually mentioned going through the mycloud app. It may be a miniscule difference but it is quicker for me to just open the app and connect rather than go through mycloud.

haha u speak Greek to me bro...
just goes to show the TF is great fr noobs and geeks like u :P

BTW why can't I see my MicroSD from FM HD?

Ok after root + a couple of emails, 2 updates we have it working.

Update your File Manager HD. when its open pres Up + 2 and you will now see a new directory called Removable, under it should be your MicroSD you can bookmark that to have quick access for future use.

You are welcome ;)

Sidenote: I looove developers that listen and fix code and not ignore your emails + now I have a free ad less File Manager :)

anyone using MyLibrary on the TF know how to organise the books? I have tons of pdfs's that show on the main shelf.
I created a new bookshelf for comics but am unable to move the comis to that shelf.
I tried searching for a solution but am stumped. Also, why do pdf's not flip pages like other ebooks?

It is possible to share stuff with other users from the myCloud apps? My transformer is on pre-order still :( Would be great if we could get a transformer community going on myBroadband.

Is your comics in cdr/cdz format? if so install https://market.android.com/details?id=com.komik.free instead as it does what you want to do ie: place it in directories of your choice.
On PDF's I just use acrobat's reader so not very helpful in that department :(

Edit: I see in Komik notes they are working on pdf support....

Yes it has a public share in MyCloud, but I am an old Dropbox user and it would take a really big treat for me to switch :)

no bro they are in pdf format. But I think it should be possible to organise pdf's in mylibrary right? like a bookshelf fo work pdf's , another one for magazines etc.

Maybe we should start a transformer share folder, for all tablet related files and bits and pieces? I'm a hardcore dropbox user too :) but I figure we can take advantage of the unlimited storage offered by asus :)

for the 1st year? and after that :)

On sharing note, anyone downloaded https://market.android.com/details?id=com.vectorunit.bluedemo

Man I am impressed what quality of FX you can get out of a 20 Meg file, pity the full version = $7 :(

Ya the 1 year limitation thing isn't great but we could create a pretty large library of stuff for now :)

After the first year, how much is it? it's probably a subscription?

I'd hate to upload all my content and then all of sudden be blocked from accessing it so I probably wont be interested in MyCloud

Blu-ray

Just for those that's interested.

I just came back from a friend where we ripped a Lady Gaga blu-ray(Dont ask was the 1st one we grabbed for the test)
It was ripped to 11.2 Gig at 1920x1080 resolution Data Rate 18000kbps at 29 frames/second Audio at 48kHz at 384 kbps.

Copied it onto a Micro SD card and plugged in the HDMI cable to a lovely 72" LED TV

Oh man I LOOOOOOOOOOVE my Eee. no hiccups, stutter or lag, it played as if we used the Blu-ray disc.

Going to use this later to test streaming via WiFi so will keep you posted....

Edit: I really should have ripped something else... I have this constant fear that she is going to break it :)

.....

Ok streaming via Windows Media Player, and it works very well just cant find on my crappy 40" LCD TV to see if its playing true 1080p or 720p

I loved my friends Samsung as it showed on screen what res the signal was.

Edit: Sorry Linux user here that has no clue how windows works... any way I can see in media player?

Finally got my travel adapter converter plug! Wow this tablet is nice! One question : when adding a microsd card for extra storage, will any card work? Or are there 'high speed' types that would offer better performance??

Depends on what you want to use it for. Normal storage or mp3 playback any one will do. Playing a 11 gig Blu-ray rip at 1080p class 6 or better would be a good idea.

Bro thanks I updated the FM HD and I can now see the MicroSD, is there any reason I can't see other pc's on the network now?
I can ping them but if I do a LAN scan on FM HD nothing comes up? hope it's not a bug with the update.

edit:
ok sorted entered the IP manually and it worked

Caleed Rampage for the keyboards yesterday--not in yet

phoned ASUS about the slider. It has been delayed and will only be out in September.

Not sure whether I should wait or get the transformer instead.
