ASUS Eee Pad transformer

Yeah, was running 3.2 and the compass glitch was really annoying me... updated today, and it's gone! Was very quick to download and apply

Damn the "Instant Upload" option in the Google+ app was annoying me.

I couldn't figure why video's were being uploaded automatically even when I'd disabled the "Sync Picasa Web Albums" and gone through all the other settings on the tab.

So yeh if you can't figure out why video's are being uploaded automatically, it's in the settings in Google+. I was about to ask here but I just found it.

YES YES YES.... just got another update. Compass problem is gone, also got the option to change my dam pointer back to a arrow instead of that useless circle.

Oddly it also ran some type of update to the Keyboard dock, after the OS was updated, my guess is this was for the people that had the battery drain issue.

Do you know where the option is to change it back to a mouse pointer or were you prompted with the option? I've also just updated to all the new firmware.

In Settings -> Language & input.

At the bottom there is a Mouse and Trackpad option where you can change the Pointer speed and Pointer Style.

No native tiff support in Android

Have you tried https://market.android.com/details?id=com.tdfsoftware.fivfree ?

3G models spotted in the wild, no more a rumor.

We've previously seen ASUS' support pages for its mystical 3G EeePad Transformer, however the device itself has remained elusive up until now. Fortunately AC reader David, who recently spent some time in Taiwan, returned home with a a 32GB version of the 3G Transformer, and sent some photos our way to prove that the device is indeed real and available to buy in some parts of the world.

According to David, the 3G Transformer ships with a different battery, and runs Android 3.2 out of the box. Join us after the jump for more photos showing various bits of system information and the SIM card slot.

didn't you get the Samsung?

Ya... 3x

Nr 1 and 2 had dead pixels

Nr 3 ended up with newton rings after one week... it affects 48% of the devices according to this survey, sad - cause I was enjoying it other wise.

Returned it on Wednesday to Incredible Connection - they apparently credited my credit card - but so far no returned funds

Any ideas on the best place to get a transformer? I've just got my SARS refund, so now I'm itching to spend it :)

One question - the tablet (without the keyboard or dock) comes with a wall charger, right?

Oh - I'm guessing it doesn't come with the ipad-like cover; are there any available in SA? I haven't managed to find any while googling, but I figured you guys might have a secret source ;)

probably here: http://www.webantics.co.za/listItems.aspx?strSearch=eee+pad or here: http://www.wootware.co.za/asus-transformer-tf101-16gb-10-1-tablet.html but if you want it NOW, phone Hirschs. They were 100 bucks cheaper than Look & Listen.

Wow that kind of sucks.... WTH is it with Android manufacturer's and their poor quality control?

No wonder iPad is taking the market by storm. Not only is Android tablets more expensive as a norm, but the also suffer a lot from poor quality products. I am sooooo glad my ASUS doesn't have any problems. I can just imagine how ticked off I would have been if it did.

Look and listen sells them for about R4200

Looks like the 3G models are almost here - they're listed on RebelTech's site (although they have the "sold out" sign up, so presumably they don't have stock yet)

R4821 for the 16Gb 3G; R5573 for the 32Gb.
