ASUS Eee Pad transformer

I am able to connect with splashtop, but somehow not with mynet. Every time I see my computer appear and click on it, it immediately disappears. I am sharing folders with Windows Media Player. I am running Windows 7 Ultimate and using the TP Link MR3420 router. Is there some sort of setting that you have to enable?

Mynet uses DLNA settings that also depends on your network type in Windows, I think you have to set the network type to Home instead of public or work and edit the settings to allow for media streaming in advance sharing settings. (Linux user here so I am working off memory)

My network is set to "home". Is there something specific you have to do regarding DLNA sharing? As far as I know you must just check the relevant file sharing boxes in Windows Movie Player. It also asked me to link a Windows Live id. (I am new to Windows 7 but before upgrading I also could not make it work on Vista). I guess it is a firewall or router problem then?

Quick Google gave me http://androidforums.com/captivate-...ide-setting-up-dlna-allshare-windows-7-a.html

It might be a firewall problem, but if so why you running a firewall on your internal network?

Hi Guys,

I'm can't seem to find anyone with stock of the docking station. The common answer I get is that they have been waiting on ASUS to receive stock for about 2 months now.

Does anyone know where I could pick up one @ recommended retail prices or when ASUS is going to get some in?

WebAntics got new Asus accessories about 2 weeks ago. I got the keyboard from them as soon as their stock came in.
Check with them.

Finally got my official Asus Transformer cover from eBay. Looks pretty good, but a bit less padded than I expected

Guys - sorry if this has been asked and answered but I am on my phone,
How does one browse the home network to play media - such as movies stored on a networked media box??

Working no problem, just loged in and transfered some $ to my CC

Just checked with the normal browser as well, loged in and check balance.

Also been looking for a proper way to do this.

Elimentals suggested DLNA: http://androidforums.com/captivate-...ide-setting-up-dlna-allshare-windows-7-a.html

But I have a Linux based media player sharing a HDD on my wireless network. I also want to be able to assess documents and not just media.

CifsManager looks promising but requires root access. It allowed you to mount network shares.

To root or not to root that is the question.
