ASUS Eee Pad transformer

Where to buy?

Hi

Im looking to get an Asus transformer, not the prime as it is too expensive. Where is the cheapest place to get one, not including the keyboard(i might get it later). The price at expansys seems to be the cheapest, but some people say that it is a hassle to buy from them.

Thanks

Amazon.com
I was surprised to discover they would even ship it to SA.
I just wished they had the 3G version

Possible solution to the reboot/shutdown loop-
Remove widgets -not apps-one at a time and see if the prblem stops.
I removed one widget and it's 11 hours and no reboot yet.

Thanks for the heads up on ICS, I think I'll wait a week or two just to see what's happening with the few issues mentioned. Very excited though!

I had the tablet going to sleep by itself issue once only. Been fine since though, no freezing, boot problems etc. There will probably be another minor update released pretty soon though.

Yup got mine last year June. Ordered Friday night and had it Monday morning! Dhl cleared customs everything. It's got international warranty so no problems there. Of course the power adapter is American 2 pin

just saw the update, save to load?

I am waiting for at least a few more days. I notice some people complaining about random boot loops and Tablets getting stuck at start-up. Its not as if there is a new feature that I am dying to get.

Will wait a bit to see if a new version is released. I just hope I wont need to do a hard reset...

Got and installed the update on Friday night. Only had one random reboot on saturday and no problems since. The update really has made a difference with regard to the smoothness and speed of the pad.

so far 27 hours and going good since I removed 1 widget from my home screen

You say it has an international warranty. Does that mean if there is something wrong you send it to Asus ZA or amazon? How much did you pay for tax and importing duties?

And also where is the cheapest place to buy a docking station. I've decided i'm going to get it after the money i save from getting the tablet from amazon. (I saw that you can't get the docking station from amazon and get them to deliver it to SA.)

I got my docking station from Amazon. You just need to wait until it is stocked by Amazon itself rather than one of their affiliated sellers. Took less than a week and if you follow the checkout procedure you will see the estimate for customs and duties that they add on (you don't have to complete the order).

Updated to ICS, some minor issues, but usable.

Must say I'm a bit disappointed, still no way to move/ install apps on SD? I thought it was a limitation on Honeycomb?

My 16GB will run out one of these days :(

what's the slimmest case available for the Trnsformer?
