ASUS Eee Pad transformer

I want a case that houses the tab... In the dock. So i dont have to remove the case to dock it... Anyone see anything like that.

Ok seeing that the reboot loop complaints disappeared I will take this as a good sign and I will update to ICS this weekend.

updated mine, seemed a bit unstable (the screen would sometimes jump around and not respond) and slow.

Did a factory reset, everything seems better now. I did have one unexpected reboot yesterday while downloading all my old apps back..

Buddy of mine just bought a Transformer but it says nothing newer that 3.1, are the updates you guys are getting for the Prime or the 101?

TF101, he probably has to check manually and update incrementally.

Updated mine a few days ago.

Compared to when I just got it, when the original tf came to SA...

It now feels like a whole new tab.

I remember when dragging around widgets was slow and horrible, it's really nice now, browsing, typing, everything is just so much better. Responsiveness is a lot closer to iOS.

Now I just need ICS for my RAZR :D

PS I had rooted my TF so I needed to download the CWM friendly ICS rom from XDA which is here:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1514658

Very easy, do factory reset, clear dalvic cache & install rom from CWM, the rom you install this way still has root

mmm I see there is a CM9 rom now available

WiFi problem since ICS

Having another wifi problem since the ICS update. Was hoping a factory default would sort it out but...

When the tablet wakes from sleep the wifi icon at the bottom remains gray. The tablet can not be pinged and can ping only itself. I have to manually turn wifi off and on before it works again...

any suggestions?

Edit: I see keep wi-fi on during sleep is on "always" will try "Never" and see...

Make sure its the TF700T coming Q2 and not the old prime with WiFi issues. Better yet why not look at the Transformer Padphone + keyboard.

ICS isn't out yet for the TF101G, should be available in the next couple of weeks.

Well you can always head on over to ASUS and download it manually

http://support.asus.com/Download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=Eee+Pad+Transformer+TF101&p=20&s=16

Just select Android and the right version (Version V9.2.1.11(WW) ) if you bought yours in SA and install it manually

Oh wait, neva mind the 3G version's update is not out yet so that will explain it see: http://support.asus.com/Download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=Eee+Pad+Transformer+TF101G&p=20&s=16

Oh well may as well go CM9 if you desperate.

Seems like they removed ad hoc wifi from ICS, the Wireless Tether app https://market.android.com/details?id=android.tether&hl=en
is not longer working **** the built in hotsport app still works but i really liked Wireless Tether...

I think you confused on the issue.

Android could never connect to Ad-Hoc networks because of security issues(Unless you root). It could how ever creat hot-spots but ones that worked properly with the security layer intact. As for your wi-fi tether app, it simply has not been updated to deal with the new Linux kernel changes in regaurd to WiFi, to be more to the point it has no support for WiFi Direct and probibly needs the developer to play catch up.
