ASUS Eee Pad transformer

did anyone get one already?where from? will it better to import or to buy locally?
i am really keen on this tablet....

I posted earlier, that based on Amazon.co.uk pricing its cheaper to buy the tablet here, but the bundle there.

I see there are two different models, with and without GPS?

So which one is priced at ~ R4500?

EDIT:

with GPS ~ R5000

As far as I've been able to make out this is a error with the SA SKU's They all have GPS there are 2 models one is 16GB and one is 32GB.

Everybody is out of stock, Dam ASUS didn't expect the demand to be so high.

Not to worry, they ramping up production as we speak and moved manufacturing to a bigger line as well. Blame Xoom for the stock outs, from what I got they based there sales figures on Motorola's.

And the price differences between e.g. 16gb units?

See Webantics for eg.

Ordered already, they not keeping back the launch, the shipment from head office is just taking longer to be filled as there is a world wide shortage. More to the point the cant make them fast enough to fill all the orders.

Asus ZA expect it to be with the next shipment that is suppose to land next week.

from who did u order urs bro? Asus don't sell directly to public

I've ordered and paid for mine almost 3 weeks ago, R 4428.00 (Including KB Dock) from Rampage Gaming.

They first said 1st June, then 3rd June, now it looks like it'll be next week sometime :(

R4400 with doc when others have it for R5000 without the doc.... how is that possible?

@Elimentals, which reseller? My company is registered with most of the big ones in JHB but I have no idea who holds Asus stock....

Looking at the page it looks like they've just used the "with dock" graphic. There is no real indication that the purchase is including the dock. Still, that price is pretty good even for just the tablet itself.

After I ordered I confirmed with their admins that it does come with the dock, I will be highly pissed off if it doesn't.

I should get it soon, maybe tomorrow, will update you guys when it arrives.

One of the reasons Transformer is doing so good is that unlike the others, the boot loader is not locked, so once we start getting the code for Honeycomb or Ice cream you know people just going to hack this thing silly
