ASUS Eee Pad transformer

I also managed to get a 32gb device from landmark in cpt yesterday. Really awesome device! Downloaded thumb keyboard, makes a massive difference trying to type with the thing in your hands.

OK am I imagining things or is the tablet getting smoother after some use?

I have none of the stutters that I had last night anymore, even web pages I have to really push hard to get that black blocks to show up.

Well that's good news at least.

Anyone got any feedback regarding 1080p video? Or 720p web video?

Thanks...

I decided to be patient and wait for the 16GB
I've waited a month already

I think what makes a huge difference is also your background. Honeycomb doesn't handle live wallpapers very well. I tried some awesome live wallpapers and I thought my poor TF was going to explode. I reverted back to normal wallpapers and it was smoooooth.

@coolbug, I don't have any HD movies so I can't test it. I did use moboplayer for normal movies though and playback nwas fine.

Oh,and I also recommend thumb keyboard. Lying in my bed and typing is super easy :)

Awesome, I'm feeling anticipation again. Yes the TF apparently does not benchmark very well compared to tabs like the xoom. For some reason Motorola presented android slightly better than Asus. I still believe the TF has way way way more winning points than any other tab. Except of course when quad core tegra3 comes which isn't too far away I prophesize... Hmm maybe I should cancel

Where did you get that? All the reviews I have seen places the transformer in a better class vs Xoom

The more I play around with this thing the better it gets. I looove https://market.android.com/search?q=zinio that was pre-installed.

The xoom and transformer are in the same class, they have identical hardware, however, the transformer struggles with video playback where the xoom does not. I'm hoping that Asus fixes this in upcoming updates.

Has anyone found a screen protector? I know it doesn't 'technically' need one but I would feel a lot happier if I had one on.... Oh and any pouches, cases, etc.?

Some extra comments re the tablet. I would recommend reading them before you buy, in order to avoid disappointment.

Did I mention I loooooove my tablet...

Also loving mine, everyday I have found something else I can do or an awesome new app, function, feature.... Haven't used my Vaio since I got it and I lived on my Vaio at home.

I like the included Splashtop app, very very handy as I having various things running on my main PC 24/7 so very handy to quickly log in and start or stop programs/services. I used to use a RDP app on my iphone and on the fiances ipad but actually prefer Splashtop's ease of use.

Me too! I absolutely love it! I look for excuses just to use it.

Like yesterday, I was reading FHM on my Transformer and when I got into bed, I started up Kindle and read a few pages of my latest Border Bush War book....hmmm, maybe I should have got a Kindle ;)

is it better to shut down if u not using the tablet for a few hours of just turn off the screen?

Only thing I'm not too happy about is the time it takes for magazine pages to load. I'm using the default ebook reader BTW.

Well I let mine just sleep I guess if you not going to use it for like 2 or more days you can turn it off.

Had the same but you can buy app mentioned below or just use the web browser. You can set up a shortcut from the desktop to take you into the forum as well.
