TP-Link TL-MR3420 3G router problem with the Asus transformer.

I have exactly the same problem and have tried it on one other person's router. No problems...I always assumed it is a handshake problem that could be solved by a hard reset. I have not really tried and just keep on connecting/disconnecting like you, but I am also getting extremely fed upsince it doesn't always work. I also have pc connected via lan cable and I dont have problems on it. Using same router with Cell C 3G stick.

Thanks!
At least I now know it is not related to my specific tablet.
I have my pc also connected via network cable, and use the TP-Link router with a Cell C stick.
I have my media player connected to the router also and sometimes connect my phone to it so I know its not the router.

I have a little widget on my screen called "WiFi OnOff" that you might find handy as I do...

What router are you using?

I have an ASUS, maybe that's why I dont have any problems?
We are both using the TP-Link TL-MR3420 3G router.

Actually looking to sell my transformer. Bought it for use at home but the wife just cant get the hang of android. Bought it around a month ago. Got the PAD and Dock. PM if interested

Now that's just bad timeing.... second hand price just dropped by R2000 because of the ASUS press release.

Oh, and there is a Classifieds section if you want to sell stuff.

Terrible timing. Been meaning to sell it for month. That thing just sits. But was overseas for 3 weeks and just got back last week. What luck. Will post in the classifieds section. Maybe get a a bite or 2 on it.

Didnt know that actually. Actually only found out today how to subscribe to the thread with notifications. In the Past 4 years being a member this is the most time i actually spent posting. I usually just read the forums.

All good, by the way I was referring to the routers software.

Have you checked the complaints in this thread

They also mention Updates, maybe you should try that?

I think I did that first thing when I got the router. Although I have definitely reset the router and also installed a new version of windows in the mean time. So that update is gone. Although I had problems before that...I started having issues after the latest Transformer update.

Any way I will check out the link and try the update. Will let you know if it worked.

Thanks!

Ok, the firmware update seems to have done the trick for now. I also reset the modem to factory settings. I am also wondering if the remote desktop app did not also have something to do with it...Any way keeping finger crossed it stays like this.

My bro just got the eee pad yesterday, and he can't get it to connect to any wifi networks (he has tried two). I see that others have had a wifi instability issue. The tablet is still on 3.1. Seeing as i'm tec support for the family, i'm trying to get everything I need to fix the problem when I do get my hands on the tablet.

I'm guessing my only recourse here is to update. I'm guessing I have to do a manual upadate. Once I have downloaded the firmware from the Asus site will I have to flash it or is there a PC Suite to push the update.

Download the driver from asus website. You don't need the pc suite. Then downloan the update an copy it to the root of your device. Shut down. Reboot holding volume down key. Then it will ask u to press the up key and it should start updating.
