Asus Rog Ally

Just an update IC doesn't want to refund or replace. They say they can only send for repairs. Even asked if I could pay the 15% restock fee. They said no. Have to book it in for repairs.

Isn't that against the cpa? I mean as toothless as they are?

I said that. He said it still needs to go for repairs. If they decide it's more cost to fix they will refund.

He booked both the device and SD card

I was reading the authors post

"The Armoury Crate overlay works with the new driver, at least for me.
In terms of performance, if you use the Silent, Performance, or Manual profiles, the GPU frequency will be stuck at 800 Mhz, which will negatively impact performance.
But in the Turbo profile, the GPU frequency boosts as expected, and in my case performs better with the new driver.
So I wouldn't recommend the new driver unless you always play in Turbo mode (docked for example), or if you play emulated games and have issues with the old driver that are fixed with the new driver."

Might not be a good idea if you don't play on turbo mode

On turbo it did improve the only game that worked fallout new vegas by about 5 to 7 fps. But not worth it as others don't work
 
Okay so I wanted to streamline my experience. The G-Helper/Handheld companion bit didnt work out so nicely. It was missing some features that ACSE has done so well, i decided to nuke everything and start fresh.
I've done a cloud restore. I intentionally stopped the ASUS PE environment to see exactly what it was trying to do and got the results here. I then updated everything to the point where I can install my games.

I'm going to use Macrium to create a backup for factory defaults if ever needed, with all Asus defaults included.
I then plan to delete both recovery partitions and shrink C: after which restore the two recovery partitions to the end of the drive. Create the D drive with EaseUS or Mini Partition tool. Install all my most played games and create a final backup with Macrium that I'll probably upload to my own personal one drive/ google account if ever needed. After this I'm not going to mess with partition tables again :ROFL:
